Aimee, other than the internet and TV, I live in a bubble, so it's easy for me to think the Mitt-lovers on TV are pretending because they think it'll be good for their careers. Dan, I was living there when Major was Prime Minister, and all I can remember is one arrogant and offensive act after another. From speeches about family values to brown envelopes filled with cash, they just didn't care. And Bush was exactly the same, talking about a "mandate" from the American people to do what he wanted, he proceeded to systematically destroy the country. McCain has some very bad ideas, but even if he gets elected, I can't see myself yelling at the TV for a while. Pathetic old fools just don't do it to me anymore.

Jill, the problem was that it was an independent bookstore, supposedly one of the good guys. But they were just as bad as any large corporation. The white people worked in the store, the black people worked in the warehouse and in the call center, and the hispanics cleaned up. And they sold Bill O'Reilly's books. Man, it was the most horrible place in the world.

One thing I learned from our british politics is it's a lot easier to hate an individual when their party is in power. I used to hate the conservatives with a passion but when they lost power I couldn't garner up the same level of hate.
