That son of a bitch owed me money!

Now, let me take a look back at the books I've read (didn't read Grapes of Wrath)...

I guess I can add a few books to that list. I'll do it tonight. But The Count is special. It's like saying, "Screw Starbucks and their nasty excuse for a coffee. I love instant coffee!"--but only if you like instant coffee. Because that book's logic is so ridiculous, and Dante's plan for revenge is determined on so many things going exactly the way he hopes (with no guarantee, other than his presumed understanding of human nature), that you have to ignore some of the plot. But otherwise, it is a great book, and once you start, all you want to do is find out what happens next. And the fact that it's so different from what I knew as a child makes it even better. It has cross-dressing and a lesbian affair, and hash-induced hallucinations, and most importantly, the conclusion that revenge did not make him happy.

Nothing is as good as Dude, Where's My Car. But I have high hopes for the Harold and Kumar sequel.

Aimee, I know. While we suffered, the crazy Jesus Campers had the best seven years ever. And they get to be raptured. Bastards.

Woman, oh, let me warn you! But it's too late, isn't it... Your first visit here and you're confronted by that picture... It was a metaphor, see? Most of my other posts don't include strap-ons. I try not to take that whole hope thing too seriously, though. I lived in England when Blair ended the Tori insanity, and I saw Billy Brag singing in a May Day Parade about hope, and like everyone else, I thought the day had finally arrived, when one of us was in charge. Which proved to be false. Sure, he was better than Thatcher or John Major, but try telling that to a family of a dead English soldier. So... Obama talks about hope--I just hope he lives up to the expectations.

Mel, don't you think the cute aspect of the elephant would make the pain go away? It is really cute, just like Mitt Romney.

Jill, I was thinking of posting it as my next post, but maybe you can tell me if it's cute enough. Here's the link. I don't know... It makes me laugh, but I'm used to my face. Little children might be scared.

Pelkyi, I did, didn't I? This past year I've learned a lot of new skills, like screen-grab and poop-wipe. And I have to go with the Chesapeake Primaries because apparently O'Malley coined it (that's what he said, at least), and I have to be loyal.

I do think Obama has a better chance of winning now, but frankly it's still unbelievable that this country, which is backward in so many ways, will elect an African-American President. I hope it will happen. It does seem like not even Rove can stop him now.

And as for that vote, if you read Bush's speech, he portrayed it as a vote for unity rather than a vote with any meaning, and this was done at a time when criticism of the government was seen by most people in America as unacceptable. But even using that as an excuse, she should have known that she wasn't lining up to unite the country but to help her own career. And the fact that she had never admitted her mistake makes her unsuitable to be President. Is what I think.

Maldiveslive, you have the same time machine I have! Now, how can we get some cash out of this thing?

SJ, yes, as long as it's not What's her name. But an Atheist candidate? Can you imagine that? America is definitely not ready for that one. Now, a black Atheist woman who wears the elephant underwear... I think we're getting somewhere.

So a black woman should become president? For a moment, I thought it was the funniest thing I've ever done, but since then I've made my own "Yes We Can" video. Hey, the road to a suitable image on a blog is long and winding. Speaking of which, good luck.

I personally prefer Obama, but yes, I wouldn't be devastated if Hillary wins. Things weren't that bad before Bush. Or maybe it's just that Bush was so horrible that I wouldn't mind anyone now.

Spooky, thanks.
