The Way The South Was Won (By A Yankee)
-
My friend Sally hails from a prominent southern family. In her father's Charleston home hangs a portrait of her relative fondly referred to as 'The Major.' ...
Just me being confused and all. And politics. And Pit Bulls. And a couple of babies.

Very sweet!! And her hair! I know I mention it every time, but I love it every time!!!!
Cassie didn't get her Hebrew name until she was probably 7 or 8 years old. Because I didn't know how, but I wasn't really willing to admit to the rabbi that I didn't know how. On the positive side of it, she got to choose the name herself (from a few that the rabbi suggested).
What's in a name? A lot quite a lot!
Jill, her hair is cute now, but if she's older and it stays like that, it might not be as cute. Although Marge Simpson IS a cutie.
SJ, all I know is that she'll be very happy with that name, which by itself will ensure she has a life full of happiness and butterflies. It's the least we could do.
And whilst we were those weird type of people that make up the spelling of kids names, we called our oldest daughter Madelyn too
That's awesome!
Loz, Madelyn is actually getting popular here. It's pronounced the same way as our Madeline, and it won't make her have to correct people who pronounce it like the girl from the Madeline books (with a-- wait, how do you spell pronunciations?).
Mama Zen, thanks!
Well...if that's the route she's going to go, I'm afraid it might be expensive. I got my gal just one lousy blue streak in her hair this summer & it cost a small fortune and only lasted three days!
:-) :-) :-)
Nono. A 3-day blue streak gives you 2 years of Cool credentials.
Is she related to Bernadette Peters?
Only on a spiritual level, that I know of.
