A Long-Lost Meme
Which can only mean one thing: He's not here yet.
So, I was tagged by Dan from Cafe Leone about a month ago, to put up a picture of my desktop. It's a pretty cool thing, because my desktop does say some things about me.
- I'm a neat freak. Everything has its place. One folder for me, one for Honey, a Firefox shortcut, and a recycle Bin.
- On the top right is Buddy. I have this Yahoo picture frame widget that changes a picture every twenty minutes and makes me happy.
- The background is a picture of the moon taken from my deck with my cellphone camera. I usually change this picture about once a month or two, but I've had this one up there for a bit longer. Because it's awesome and it's the moon. I can also see the Northern Star from my deck, which is another reason to be happy. And we have the most beautiful tree in the world. I used the tree picture on this post, and it was the desktop background before I put the moon up there. It has to be inspiring, right?
Now, next time, either a picture of a baby or something else. I wanted to write a Veterans Day post. Maybe I'll do that. Or maybe I'll put a picture of a baby. Or maybe I'll write a post about something mundane like all these movies coming out now that I'd like to see, but won't. Or maybe I'll write about--Honey just called me upstairs. She thinks she might be having contractions. She's going to try and sleep it off because it might be these Starsky-Hutch contractions they talked about in the classes. But I'm going to go upstairs now and scratch her back and watch the midget channel with her.
I didn't tag anyone, I know. I haven't had much luck there lately... But if you want to do this meme, consider yourself tagged.
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all.

Not crazy about doing memes, but I wish you a good holiday weekend.
The moon not being in the center of the desktop would drive my kkkrazy.
Pretty moon & BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it too late to be having Braxton Starskey Hutch Hixton whoever it is contractions?????????????? My vote's for BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goodness... STILL no baby... ugg!
Hey it is a full moon! You know all about that barimetric pressure stuff right?? *wink
Have a good weekend and keep the faith... he'll be here soon!
I have no idea how overtime your honey is but you can expect everything since I was 2 weeks overtime when I had my second child.
Keep that channel running :D
Enemy, thanks. You too. It's a busy one.
Woozie, I understand what you're saying. It would probably be bad in a different way if it were in the middle, though. I get the shakes just thinking about a white dot in the center of my screen.
Jill, honestly I probably didn't pay much attention in class when they were talking about that. I remember some things, but other stuff just never made it in. In any case, it's a day later and we're still home. It was 8-10 minutes and nothing has changed, so Honey stopped counting. We cleaned the house, put together the changing table, went to IKEA , played Cribbage, and now I left her downstairs to watch Georgia Rule. One day at a time.
Kate, not my fault. My induction technique was rejected. Was laughed at, to be more specific. You have a good weekend, too. Maybe we'll go see a popcorn movie tomorrow. Maybe Enchanted? Or maybe the one with Honey's boyfriend?
Tsedek, confession time: She's not overdue. I think that mentally we're both overdue, but she's basically on her due date according to the first doctor we talked to and about a week early according to her other doctor. Two weeks overtime? Yikes... Well, looks like some more time with the Roloffs.
i came, expectantly, to your site, anxious to see a picture of the baby.
my first reaction was...wow...his baby sure looks a lot like the moon.
i caught on.
after a moment or two.
you really shouldn't confuse your readers though...
i'm just saying...but I forgive you - cuz you voted for me, even knowing jury duty was a real possibility...
Writer, it feels good to be a participant in Democracy. And as for my disrespectful baby, I can actually understand him. I wouldn't want my first (or second) view of the world to be of a balding man with a big zit on his face either.
The midget channel? Must be an interesting watch. I sense lots baby pictures on your desktop in the very near future.
Just checking back over here to find out if there are any new human beings inhabiting the planet that you wanted to introduce us to...
Guess still not yet. Drat!
Yeah, we watched the Roloffs all day at my mom's house too. Of course, after watching five straight hours we left before seeing the two episodes I've never seen. Sheesh!
Ricardo, I don't know. Maybe when I get over the "All babies look the same" thinking. It's not true, is it? I mean, some of them are only slightly weird.
Jill, thanks for trying. I hope it doesn't take much longer. Drat!
Ajooja, are you talking about the pumpkin patch episodes? Don't want to spoil too much, but there was a lot of drama there! Two people were injured!
you haven't posted in a few days... has it happened yet?!?!
zzzzzzzz
zzzzzzz
zzzzzzzz
If I am getting impatient for this bundle of joy to come... I can only imagine how you feel! lol
I have NEVER seen such a CLEAN desktop.....
I love it.
Kirsten, thanks for checking up on me. Nothing yet. I'm just busy trying to be a good husband by keeping my woman happy. I get home from work, take a shower, and then it's either back-scratching while watching the Rollofs or playing Cribbage. To be honest, it's not just being a good husband. I think she is capable of killing me if this thing drags on for another week.
Kate, I know. We couldn't wait anymore so yesterday after the doctor's appointment we went to see "Enchanted." Damn, it was a fun movie. But don't tell anyone. I still have a reputation in this town.
Meleah, thanks. But actually (is it ironically? Probably not), if you happen to wander into one of these folders on the top left you will never find your way out. One day.
