PitS: Home Improvement Edition

A quick one before this room is emptied and I lose my internet connection for who knows how long. Taking out carpets and putting new floors all over because little Jr. shouldn't grow up in a house with stinky, dried up dog pee. So no internet. Did I mention no internet? This is too overwhelming. This might be a good time to start smoking again.

So I'll be back posting when this room has a floor and when the house in general is more child friendly. I guess this is really happening.

But before I leave, here are some of my favorite Stumble Upon video finds:

Come back soon :) That's just about my worst nightmare -- you should look into the new solar powered wi-fi systems. Good, clean, green deal.

Jennifer, to be honest, maybe it'll be good, right? Maybe I'll actually go back to the book I finished writing but dread editing. Maybe I need a break from the internet? It's going to be an interesting undetermined-amount-of-time.

No internet? You mean you won't be helping me save the world?

Sometimes I get the feeling I have to do EVERYTHING!!!

Did anyone hear the "woo woo!" during the "corporate scandals" part in the beginning?

I couldn't live without the Internet, therefore I have no soul. And I'm done being embarassed about it.

Good luck getting ready for the baby!

I went without internet for three days and I seriously nearly started shaking. I think I also lost a bit of my rosy color.

Hurry back!!!

Having had no internet for several months earlier this year, I can tell you it isn't so bad. My doctor tells me the nightmares should have stopped by Christmas.

(Make sure you come back when the room is ready!)

Great way to start looking out for your child!

Be safe and take your time and get it right, the internet will be here when you return.

Hey, happy Saturday, everyone.

Still don't have internet but at least I have a quiet day at work. Don't give up on me. My life is so hard right now. A computer without internet is like a metaphor without a meaning(?).

SJ, just keep things steady for a few more days. And make sure Bin Laden doesn't shave his beard. TOO LATE!!!

Mike, I'll look at that, I swear. Best Regards, me.

Enemy, yes... is that... what... I saw Ricardo there so it must be okay, right? But then there are so many ads everywhere...

Woozie, I don't have video at work so I can't watch the videos again. I hate my life. And about this video being genious, if you go to the Google Video page you'll see it's been out for a long time. Strange it hasn't become a hit (yet?).

Durante, when I'm home I sit there and play Freecell. It's insane. And Minesweeper. And freakin' Solitaire. I've watched so many bad movies in the last week. Speaking of Superman Returns, you remember when Parker Posey used to be important?

Dan, it's okay. You're among friends now.

Wishful, three days? Three days!?! You don't know the meaning of pain. How dare you? yesterday I watched three hours of America's Next Top Model. I know pain. I am pain.

Simon, a few months? What are you, some kind of freak? What was it like when you started again? Heaven?

Let's, the floor already looks great. I can't believe we'd lived with dog-pee carpets all this time. We should have had a kid years ago!

Tsedek, getting pee-carpet out from what used to be the guest room and from the office and putting nice wooden floors. I wonder if my writing will improve once I write in a pee-free room.

Dave, hold on just a little bit longer (and thanks a lot, by the way).

wait, so did you have the baby yet or are you being proactive with the rugs? Kind of ironic that I finally get my ass back here to read up on ya and you are taking a break! lol I am thinking there is no reason you cant head to your local StarBucks or McDonalds (I just saw that our local MCD's has free internet connection!!!) to post! Ohhh sounds like I am a slave driver... =] ya its like that in real life too! *wink

cheers!

Kate, welcome bakc. I'm not taking a break, I swear. Breaks are for losers. I've just been spending the week working on my Freecell skills. When the Russians come to rule our cities, a hero will rise. A Freeceller.

And I think even Starbucks has a no-desktop policy.
