Spell Checkers Gone Wild

Good times.

Just for fun, a collection of Conservative reactions to the GOP Scandal of the Day:

  • Free Republic: "Will the ACLU step up in defense on Mr. Foley? This targeted arrasement has caused him the loss of his career and public humiliation and riducule."
  • Drudge: IMs were "part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives." - By the way, is the use of the word enemy really necessary?
  • Macsmind: "The FBI, which is looking into the matter, as I mentioned here, will use specific forensic analysist to determine if in fact the corospondence discovered so far is in fact valid. . . . At this point it’s not know the full involvement of those - or of others yet to be discovered - is." - I'm not taking this quote out of context. It really doens't make any sense.
  • Confederate Yankee on the Gay Baiting Left: "They can call it a 'big tent' party all they want, but by their actions, it's rather clear that what liberals are hiding under is just another name for a large white sheet."
  • Just One Minute: "After years of 'sex is a private matter', it is not a war the Democrats want to start."
  • BitsBlog: "First, in my opinion such acts are unforgavable. But on the other hand, we simply don't know enough about the chain of evidence in what we have before us, so as to make an educated judgement in the matter."
It would all be so funny and pathetic at the same time if we weren't in the middle of a never ending war these people admire so much from the safety of their keyboards. Fourteen soldiers have been killed since Monday.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on fatcat politics and for blogrolling me.

You are right when you state these people have no shame. They have no common sense either. All they have are failed policies and grave markers and a growing list of disable vets streaming in from Iraq.

They just approved $20 million for a celebration of victory in Iraq. Unbelievable...

I will add your site to my "linked here" list when I update next.

Amazing isn't it! I guess it's the Hipocracy of Democracy. Oxymoron ? Not anymore! It's the very country we live in, we are told one thing, and come to find out the opposite was true in the future.

(ty for your blackjack post)

So, the names Frank and Studds mean nothing to you, I presume?

There's not much for me to answer here. You mention two names. So? "You're just as corrupt as we are" is not really an argument.

in 2004, The GOP ran on two platforms: terrorism and moral values. In two years, many people have become skeptical about the administration's ability to protect people from terrorism, especially with one report after another showing increasing threat due to the war in Iraq.

The other issue, moral values, seems to have backfired during the last two years. It's one thing to present yourself as the party of union members, hippies, and urbanites and get involved with a sexual scandal; it's another thing to portray yourself as the party of religion and morality and then be involved in a scandal.

I found an article in Townhall.com, a conservative website, talking about this issue.

The point is not "Yeah, well you do it too" valid a point as that is. The point is the difference in reaction between the two situations, among Democrats. If we point at those, and Kennedy and a few others, when republicans become embroiled in scandal, they tend to resign. Democrats, however, seem to not do that, instead becoming venerated. can you explain why that might be?

I don't think Democrats get rewarded for getting involved with scandals. Ted Kennedy, in my opinion, was and still is punished. People still talk about what they think he did as an example of Democrats' corruption.

I honestly think the cries of "Why do Democrats get away with it," should make room for real arguments. Conservative websites after the election seem to agree the GOP deserved to lose, if not for the way the war was handled, then at least for the corruption of so many Republicans.

Now that the election is over, and before we're tainted with the next divisive elections, we can try, for a while, to concentrate on the things that we disagree on (abortion, welfare, guns) and the things we all agree on (watching "Lost").
